While there are ways to self-teach yourself about how to be an effective Internet marketer, it is important to realize that you must get yourself in the right frame of mind if anything you learn is going to be of any help to your new career choice.
Develop the right attitude: Having the right attitude is critical to succeed as an Internet Marketer. Having the wrong attitude can end in a string of failure. Therefore it is critical to develop a positive mindset. Feed the can do spirit. Understand that it does take time learn how to do Internet Marketing. So in areas where you are slow, or fall down blame yourself too much. Just extract the lesson and bounce back this setback and continue your push for success. Feed the can do spirit.

You can learn; you can do: Tell yourself there is nothing you can't learn to do. Think of it like going to college and doing a study before you start a new profession. You must learn the basic, get familiar with new terminology. Then you must apply what you know for practice. Unless you are already a marketer of some sort this can be awkward at first until you really get familiar with the area. But believe you can and you will. Stick to it.. You will get there eventually as you see setback as just mere speed bumps along the way.
Research it: Research the terms you will be using. Get familiar with the jargon in the industry. Get use to the lingo. As you get use to the lingo it will get easier assimilate the information. Get acquainted with the tools of Internet Marketing. There is a lot of tools out there proposing to make your life easier. Some of course will and some won't. Some are free and so you will have to buy. As you go about figure out Internet Marketing as a business you will figure what you need and what you won't depending on the area of internet Marketing you focus on.
Treat it like a business: Keep remind yourself that you are not doing this as a hobby. You are pursuing the creation of a real business. Get yourself in investment mode. When you've found those tools that make your life easier take the time to learn to use them properly. Don't be jumping from one tool to the other like a wild unfocused newbie. Focus on find those tool that make your Internet Marketing easier. This will put you in a better position, hopefully freeing up your time for other things. If you are to buy a tool, assess the value and ensure that the value to your Internet Marketing outweighs the cost.
Bounce back from setbacks: Don't set yourself up for failure by getting bog down trying to use a whole bunch of tools. Simpler is better most of the time. Also do try to do everything all at once... remember the old saying.. Jack of all trade matter of none. So find an area you particularly interested in. Focus on it. Master it and won the skill. Then move on to a next area. Have a marketing plan as well for this will keep you focus. Also this will keep you focus on what where you want to and what you need to do.
Remember every challenge or problem is nothing more than an opportunity in disguise. So above all things meet each challenge with questions about how to turn the situation around? There will always be challenges and a true Internet marketer will see these situations as mere stepping stones to success, rather than a an excuse to give up.
Feed the can do spirit: Of course no matter how positive you are there will be days when you almost can find the strength to continue. There will be times when nothing make sense. There will be times when you ignore the plan. Know that these days will come. Remind yourself that every successful Internet Marketer had this same experience but didn't give up. When it gets really frustrating take a break then plan to come back to it later. Change the focus of your attention, like watching some TV, read some books, or whatever it is that you like that, just take a break.
keep at it: A very popular saying that has been riveted in me since I was a child is" Heights by great men reach and kept was not attained by sudden flight; but they while their companion slept was toiling upward through the night. Remember you can achieve whatever you dare to dream. You can succeed if you believe. But it requires stick-tuitiveness and commitment on your part. Whatever you do, don't give up.
No one said it would happen over night, even though it does for some. But that is the exception rather than the norm. It may not happen overnight, but keep your chin up, work hard, and assimilate what you need to learn, build your confidence in Internet Marketing and grow and grow. You will eventually get there. And then you will be able to say alas... I did it. Trust me.. I know!
